Job summary

Boston Medical Center in Boston, MA is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Surgical Stepdown IMCU team. The RN will provide patient-centered care, collaborate with the care team, and support evidence-based practices in a Magnet-recognized organization.

You will work a 24 Hour Day/Night Rotation with rotating weekends, in a 38-bed Surgical Step Down unit serving post-operative and specialty patients. BMC offers training, development, and advancement opportunities in a mission-driven

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice professional nursing in Massachusetts.
• 1+ years RN experience preferred.
• BLS certification; ACLS when required for units.

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care in the Critical Care unit, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, evaluation, and education.
• Communicate with health care team members, patients, and families.
• Coordinate and delegate appropriate patient care activities to inter-professional colleagues.
• Update and manage patient records.
• Enter and interpret computerized data and information.
• Follow guidelines and policies established by BMC’s nursing organization.
• Assist leadership in quality improvement projects.
