Job summary

Boston Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Critical Care unit (SICU/MICU/Step Down) on the Surgical IMCU. This 24-hour night rotation offers the chance to care for post-operative and specialty patients in a Magnet-recognized hospital.

You will join a mission-driven team that emphasizes evidence-based practice, professional development, and a supportive environment. Massachusetts RN license and BLS/ACLS where required, with opportunities for BSN completion within four years.

Qualifications

• Active Massachusetts RN license or eligibility.
• 1+ years RN experience preferred.
• BLS certification required; ACLS certification required in certain units.
• Nursing degree: Diploma, ASN or BSN (preferred).
• Ability to obtain BSN within 4 years.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care in the Critical Care unit, including assessing, diagnosing, planning, intervening, evaluating, and educating patients.
• Communicate with health care team members, patients, and their families.
• Coordinate and delegate appropriate patient care activities to inter-professional colleagues.
• Update and manage patient records and enter data into computerized systems.
• Follow BMC nursing policies and contribute to quality initiatives.
• Assist leadership with quality improvement projects.
