Job summary

Boston Medical Center (BMC) is recruiting an RN for the Surgical IMCU. This role involves bedside care in a 38-bed Critical Care/3W Intermediate unit, with a 24-hour schedule including nights and rotating weekends.

You will work within a patient-centered model, delivering evidence-based care and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to support postoperative and specialty surgical patients. BMC offers growth, training, and generous benefits.

Qualifications

• Active or eligible Massachusetts RN license required.
• At least 1 year of RN experience preferred.
• BLS certification required; ACLS in certain units.
• Nursing degree: Diploma/ASN/BSN; BSN optional within 4 years.

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care in the Critical Care unit, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, evaluation, and education.
• Communicate with health care team members, patients, and families.
• Coordinate and delegate patient care activities to inter-professional colleagues.
• Update and manage patient records.
• Enter and interpret computerized data/information.
• Follow nursing guidelines and policies.
• Assist leadership in quality improvement projects.
