Job summary

Hartford HealthCare Medical Group seeks a Surgical Scheduler to coordinate hospital-based procedures in collaboration with physicians and staff. You will ensure pre-op workups, scheduling blocks, and manage insurance authorizations using EPIC for documentation.

Strong organizational skills, knowledge of CPT/ICD-10, and clear communication are essential to support patient care and efficient operating room flow in a busy clinical setting.

Qualifications

• Three years of experience in a healthcare setting required.
• Knowledge of medical and insurance terminology, CPT and ICD-10 coding required.
• Epic experience preferred
• Exceptional organization skills and attention to detail
• Ability to communicate in other languages is highly desirable

Responsibilities

• Schedule hospital-based procedures and surgeries in coordination with physicians and staff.
• Ensure pre-operative paperwork and required tests are completed and communicated to patients.
• Maintain accurate EPIC documentation and support insurance authorizations.
• Communicate payer guideline changes to management and clinical teams.
