Collaboration with department leaders supports projects and staff development. The ideal candidate will have a BSN, RN license, BLS, and at least five years of nursing experience with management experience; MSN and ACLS/PALS are preferred.

Qualifications

• BSN required and RN license in the state of practice.
• BLS certification required.
• MSN and/or specialty certification preferred for leadership roles.

Responsibilities

• Plans, organizes, and evaluates delivery of patient care within Surgical Services.
• Collaborates with medical staff and directors to promote optimal patient care.
• Manages staff performance, development, and recruitment to ensure clinical competence.
• Oversees operations and finances of clinical units; prepares capital and operating budgets.
• Establishes quality, service, and financial goals for Surgical Services.
• Maintains relations with physicians and hospital leadership across the system.
• Oversees Quality and Performance Improvement functions within Surgical Services.
• Leads departmental activities and ensures policy/procedure compliance.
• Engages in professional activities and community hospital initiatives.
