Job summary

Blue Diamond Career Consultants seeks a Director of Surgical Services to lead OR, PACU, Pre/Post, OSC and Central Services, with 24/7 accountability and the ability to cover call. This role provides direct supervision, leadership, and guidance to staff to ensure high quality patient care.

You will develop policies, manage budgets, ensure regulatory compliance, mentor staff, and drive quality improvement while coordinating with the Chief Nursing Officer and Health Care Providers.

Qualifications

• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Iowa.
• Minimum of Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN); BSN preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of progressive management experience preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years previous OR, Pre-Op, PACU experience required.
• Sterile Processing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the OR, PACU/Phase I, Pre/Post/Phase II, OSC and Central Services.
• Ensure compliance with disaster, safety, infection control and HIPAA plans and policies.
• Oversee department budgets and resource management; monitor performance improvement.
• Coordinate staff orientation, training, evaluations and competency development.
• Collaborate with CNO and Health Care Providers on patient care and staffing.
