Responsibilities include budgeting, staff development, and ensuring regulatory and quality standards while advancing Surgical Services initiatives within the health system.

Qualifications

• RN licensure in the state of service or multistate licensure via eNLC.
• BSN degree required.
• BLS certification required.
• MSN degree preferred.
• Specialty nursing certification beneficial.
• ACLS and PALS certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plans, organizes, and evaluates patient care delivery within Surgical Services.
• Collaborates with medical staff and directors to promote optimal care.
• Hire, manage, and develop staff to ensure clinical practice competence.
• Oversees operational and financial management of surgical units and budgets.
• Sets annual and long-term goals for Surgical Services, quality, service, and finances.

Education

Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing (BSN).

Current Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which services will be provided or current multi-state Registered Nurse license through the enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC).

Basic Life Support (BLS)

Masters of Science in Nursing (MSN)

Specialty nursing certification

Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)

Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
