Job summary

Jefferson Health Northeast in Philadelphia, PA is seeking a Surgical Services Attendant to support the care team with patient transports, room turnover, and equipment setup for procedures.

You will assist with positioning, instrument handling, and daily supply management in operating/procedural rooms, and participate in onboarding new staff. A High School Diploma and BLS are required, with knowledge of aseptic techniques and a collaborative mindset.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Understanding of aseptic technique and various surgical procedures.
• Proficient in surgical service attendant skills and able to teach others.

Responsibilities

• Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff in line with Jefferson values.
• Performs patient transports, positioning, and transport of specimens and equipment.
• Keeps operating/procedural rooms clean, stocked, and ready for use.
• Participates in equipment checks and room/setups for surgeries.
• Assists in onboarding and training new staff in the surgical service attendant role.
