Job summary

The Surgical Services Attendant at Jefferson Health Northeast supports the care team by transporting patients, positioning them for procedures, and assisting with procedural room turnover. You help with equipment setup and stock maintenance in the OR suites.

Responsibilities include aseptic technique, coordinating with Biomed and vendors, and assisting in onboarding new staff to ensure safety and quality in a dynamic surgical environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Knowledge of aseptic technique and surgical procedures.
• Proficient in patient positioning and instrument handling.
• BLS certification desirable.

Responsibilities

• Transporting patients, equipment, and specimens to designated areas.
• Setting up and turning over OR/procedural rooms and maintaining supplies.
• Ensuring cleanliness and upkeep of transportation equipment.
• Participating in equipment checks and coordinating repairs with Biomed and vendors.
• Assisting in onboarding and training new staff for the surgical service attendant role.
