Job summary

Jefferson Health Northeast is seeking a Surgical Services Attendant to support the care team in operating and procedural rooms. You will transport patients, equipment, and specimens, assist with room turnover, and help maintain sterile conditions.

This role requires High School Diploma, Basic Life Support certification, and knowledge of aseptic technique, with opportunities to train new staff and coordinate with the Biomed team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Knowledge of aseptic technique and surgical procedures; ability to transport instruments and ensure sterile processing.
• BLS certification (AHA) required.
• Proficient in patient positioning and procedural set-ups.

Responsibilities

• Transports and positions patients for procedures.
• Transports equipment, supplies, and specimens to designated areas.
• Maintains cleanliness, stocking, and upkeep of operating/procedural rooms.
• Participates in equipment checks and coordinates with Biomed and vendors.
• Assists in onboarding and training new staff in surgical service processes.
