Job summary

Jefferson Health Northeast is seeking a Surgical Service Attendant to support the care team by transporting patients and equipment, setting up OR/procedural rooms, and ensuring cleanliness and readiness for procedures.

Responsibilities include coordinating with Biomed for equipment checks and assisting in onboarding new staff, with adherence to sterile technique and patient safety in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required with BLS certification.
• Proficiency in aseptic technique and sterile processing concepts.
• Ability to position patients safely and operate in a fast-paced OR environment.

Responsibilities

• Transport patients, equipment, and specimens to designated areas and assist with turnover of procedural rooms.
• Prepare and set up rooms for surgeries, including equipment checks and cleanliness.
• Assist in onboarding and training new surgical service attendants.
• Collaborate with Biomed and vendors for equipment maintenance and repairs.
