Job summary

Jefferson Health is seeking a Surgical Services Attendant to support the care team in the operating/procedural areas. Responsibilities include patient transports and positioning, equipment setup for procedures, and maintaining cleanliness of rooms and supplies.

The role requires understanding aseptic technique and BLS certification, with opportunities to train new staff and participate in ongoing onboarding. Rotating shifts across our regional facilities.

Qualifications

• Must have aseptic technique understanding and knowledge of surgical procedures.
• Proficient in patient positioning and room turnover for various surgeries.
• Ability to teach skills to new surgical service attendants.

Responsibilities

• Interacts with coworkers, visitors, and staff following Jefferson values.
• Performs patient transport, positioning, specimen transport, and equipment setup.
• Ensures cleanliness and upkeep of operating/procedural rooms and supplies.
• Assists in coordinating equipment checks and repairs with Biomed and vendors.
• Participates in onboarding and training of new staff for the role.
