Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 2 years of medical office experience.
• 1 year of EMR experience.

Responsibilities

• Schedule surgeries, procedures, and diagnostic testing across departments.
• Coordinate with providers, hospital staff, and surgical teams for assistants and block time.
• Guide patients through the pre-op process with instructions and expectations.
• Secure insurance pre-authorizations and share estimates with patients under No Surprises Act.
• Monitor and communicate delays, changes, or cancellations with physicians and staff.
• Ensure labs, imaging, and clearances are completed and sent prior to surgery.
• Greet and check out patients, collect co-pays/balances, and protect confidentiality.
• Triage calls and requests, route messages and escalate urgent issues as needed.
• Assist with front-office duties and scheduling follow-ups.
