Job summary

IVI RMA is seeking a Surgery Scheduler in Basking Ridge, NJ. This full-time role runs Monday–Friday, 8:30am–4:30pm, and requires at least 2 years of surgical scheduling experience.

You will interact with patients and medical staff to arrange dates, times, and locations for procedures. Responsibilities include collecting insurance and clinical data, coordinating pre- and post-operative paperwork, handling referrals and authorizations, and ensuring all charges are collected prior to surgery.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Area: Administrative Management or related field.
• 2+ years' experience with surgical scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Schedules all surgical procedures and gathers clinical and insurance coding information.
• Arranges logistics of patient surgeries, sets times and venues, and handles paperwork.
• Comforts patients by addressing anxieties and answering questions.
• Ensures pre-operative paperwork and post-operative reports are complete and filed.
• Ensures referrals and authorizations are in place for procedures.
• Collects out-of-pocket charges prior to surgery.
• Understands surgical procedures to maintain the schedule.
• Schedules all surgery-related appointments with the care team.
