Job summary

IVIRMA Global is seeking a dedicated Surgery Scheduler for our Basking Ridge, NJ location. This full-time role runs Monday–Friday, 8:30am–4:30pm, and requires at least 2 years of surgical scheduling experience.

You will coordinate procedures, manage logistics, and communicate with patients and care teams to ensure seamless surgeries. The position emphasizes accurate documentation, insurance coding, and pre/post-operative paperwork support, with a comprehensive benefits package after 30 hours

Salary Range: $25.00 To $27.00 Hourly

IVI RMA has a need for a Surgical Scheduler for our Basking Ridge location. We are looking for someone with at least 2 years of experience in surgical scheduling. This is a full-time role working Monday-Friday from 8:30am-4:30pm.

Job Purpose:

The Surgery Schedulerwill be responsible for interacting with patients and medical staff to arrange dates, timing, and locations for surgical procedures.

Essential Functions and Accountabilities:

• Schedules all surgical procedures and ensures that all of the appropriate clinical and insurance coding information is collected for the surgery schedule.
• Arranges the logistics of patient surgeries, sets the time and venue of procedures and takes care of paperwork and other administrative requirements.
• Comforts patients by anticipating their anxieties and answering their questions.
• Assists in ensuring appropriate pre-operative paperwork is complete and post-operative reports and documents are received and filed.
• Ensures referrals and any necessary authorizations are in place for procedures.
• Collects all out-of-pocket charges prior to patient having surgery performed.
• Understands surgical procedures, such as the necessary time a surgery takes and the medical staff necessary, in order to properly maintain a surgical schedule.
• Schedules all surgery related appointments and works with patients’ care team to ensure any and all additional requirements are met.

Academic Training:

• High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) - required
• Area: Administrative Management or other related field

Position Requirements/Experience:

• 2+ years' experience with surgical scheduling

Technical Skills:

• Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Office). Keyboard skills of 25 words required. Experience with medical office software program(s) (EMR’s) preferred.
