Job summary

Capital Health is seeking a medical receptionist to schedule procedures, obtain pre-certifications, and manage patient flow at the front desk. You will work with OR and GI Endoscopy units, gather patient information, and ensure timely registration and checkout.

The role supports physicians and staff, handles referrals, verifies insurance, and maintains accurate medical records with a focus on excellent patient service.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 1+ year medical office or hospital setting experience.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Schedules procedures and testing for patients in the hospital and outpatient settings.
• Coordinates with OR and GI Endoscopy to schedule cases and manage resources.
• Obtains pre-certification and authorizations from insurance carriers.
• Handles front desk duties, registrations, and patient check-in/out with accurate records.
• Coordinates referrals and communicates follow-up care reminders to patients.
