Job summary

Capital Health is seeking a Surgical Scheduler Float for the CMG Central Resource Office to manage case scheduling for OR and GI Endoscopy, coordinating with departments and external resources. You will collect patient details, arrange pre-certifications, and ensure timely, accurate scheduling across services in a fast-paced environment.

The role supports front-d desk operations, registers patients, handles co-pays, and maintains patient flow while optimizing physician time and resource use.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• One year medical office or hospital setting experience.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with OR and GI Endoscopy Unit to schedule cases, negotiating dates and times and avoiding resource conflicts.
• Gathers complete patient and procedure information and schedules procedures and testing timely.
• Obtains pre-certifications and referrals from insurance carriers to facilitate utilization and efficiency.
• Performs front-desk duties including answering calls, scheduling appointments, and processing registrations and payments.
• Plans daily schedules to maximize physician productivity and coordinates hospital patient activity.
