Job summary

IVI RMA GLOBAL in Basking Ridge, NJ is seeking a Surgical Scheduler with at least 2 years of surgical scheduling experience. This full-time role runs Monday–Friday from 8:30am to 4:30pm and involves coordinating dates, times and locations for procedures.

You will handle logistics, collect paperwork and insurance information, manage pre- and post-operative documents, obtain referrals, and assist patients to ease concerns while maintaining the surgical schedule with the care team.

Qualifications

• 2+ years' experience in surgical scheduling.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Associate’s degree is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Schedules all surgical procedures and ensures that all clinical and insurance coding information is collected.
• Arranges logistics of patient surgeries, sets time and venue, and handles paperwork and administrative requirements.
• Comforts patients by addressing anxieties and answering questions.
• Ensures pre-operative paperwork is complete and post-operative reports are filed.
• Ensures referrals and authorizations are in place for procedures.
• Collects all out-of-pocket charges prior to surgery.
• Understands surgical procedures to maintain the schedule.
• Schedules surgery-related appointments with the care team.
