Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a Scheduler for the Ambulatory Care Center in Livingston, NJ. The role involves scheduling all patient surgical procedures, gathering missing data from initial forms, and confirming final schedules with physicians and staff.

The ideal candidate has a High School Diploma or equivalent and 6 months to 1 year of relevant scheduling experience; Epic experience and scheduling/authorization familiarity are a plus. Shift is Day, full-time, 40 hours per week.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Six months to one year of relevant scheduling experience.
• Experience with Scheduling and Prior Authorizations preferred.
• Epic experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Schedule all patient surgical procedures with accuracy.
• Obtain missing information from initial booking forms and confirm final schedules.
• Verify coding of procedures and diagnoses using ICD/CPT codes.
• Bill insurance for hospital and office services.
• Enter data for charges, payments, denials, and adjustments.
• Provide excellent customer service to physicians and staff.
