Qualifications

• High School diploma; Associates Degree preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years’ surgical scheduling experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate all OR surgeries and procedures.
• Verify patient demographics and obtain pre-certification.
• Record reservation and pre-admit data in the system.
• Arrange pre-testing and obtain medical clearance.
• May place surgical confirmation calls in advance of scheduled date.
• Serve as liaison between referring physicians and surgeons for scheduling.
• Distribute paperwork to internal and external parties to coordinate surgeries.
• Schedule post-operative follow-up visits.
• Perform other related duties.
