Qualifications

• 2 years of surgical scheduling experience.

• Certificate in ICD-9 and CPT Coding preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate all OR surgeries and procedures.
• Obtain pre-certification from insurance carriers.
• Record hospital reservations and pre-admit data.
• Arrange patient pre-testing and medical clearance.
• Place surgical confirmation calls as needed.
• Serve as liaison between referring physicians and surgeons.
• Distribute paperwork to coordinate surgeries.
• Schedule post-operative follow-up visits.
• Perform related duties as assigned.
