Job summary

The Christ Hospital Health Network seeks an experienced scheduler to manage the surgical timetable across our providers. You will work within EPIC to arrange elective and urgent surgeries, coordinate with physicians, staff, and patients, and ensure accurate, up-to-date documentation and confidentiality.

Responsibilities include maintaining block times, verifying insurance and patient data, and communicating clearly with all stakeholders to minimize delays and errors.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 1 year of surgery scheduling experience required.
• Excellent typing and transcription skills with strong computer proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Schedule elective and urgent cases by telephone and fax from physicians.
• Verify accuracy of information using EPIC/OP-Time scheduling functions.
• Coordinate scheduling for The Christ Hospital Surgical Center.
• Maintain block time and monitor early/late case starts.
• Communicate with staff and physicians to resolve scheduling conflicts.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with hospital policies.
