Responsibilities

• Schedule hospital-based procedures/surgeries per physician orders and insurance requirements.
• Ensure all paperwork and tests are completed prior to surgery and communicate pre- and post-surgery instructions to patients.
• Maintain and manage resources including insurance portal access and EPIC documentation for authorizations.
• Coordinate with hospital staff for scheduling per block time and inpatient add-ons; communicate changes in payer or regulatory guidelines to the manager and related teams.
• Obtain and maintain surgical authorizations and pre-certifications; monitor chart updates and scan clinical documents.
