AdventHealth is seeking an experienced Surgery Scheduling Coordinator to manage the scheduling of patient surgeries, collect essential demographic, insurance, and clinical information, and coordinate with physicians and office staff to ensure timely, accurate reservations. The role requires strong communication, attention to detail, and proficient use of common scheduling tools.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication with patients and families, hospital staff, doctors, and health care teams.
• Familiarity with health care concepts and procedures.
• Must read, write, and speak English fluently.
• Proficient in computer use and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to document accurately and concisely.

Responsibilities

• Schedule surgeries for patients and complete associated facility paperwork.
• Collect scheduling, demographic, insurance, and clinical information for scheduling actions.
• Coordinate with physicians and office staff to schedule, cancel, or reschedule surgeries.
• Communicate add-on cases to relevant departments and prepare reservations within timeframes.
• Maintain and update hospital schedules through calls, faxes, and other channels.
• Assist with staff orientation and ongoing skill development.
