Job summary

SCA Health is seeking a detail-oriented scheduling coordinator to support our facility operations. You will handle surgical scheduling, pre-registration, and insurance verification while maintaining accurate records and patient communications.

The role requires a health care background with experience in surgery scheduling, strong teamwork, and the ability to manage multiple tasks with ease. This position is on-site with flexible hours and shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum three years of experience in health care and minimum of one-year experience in surgery scheduling procedures preferred.
• Ability to work independently as well as within a team; handle stress; flexible hours and shifts.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to the facility by performing specific or various business office functions as assigned (Medical Records, Credentialing, Admissions/Intake, Accounts Payable, Billing, Collections, Insurance Verification, Transaction Posting, Clinical Logs).
• Schedules surgeries in surgery template, contacts physician offices, and handles scheduling-related calls.
• Pre-register, obtain authorizations, complete registration paperwork, and generate surgical information in the system.
• Maintain logs for cancelled appointments and keep the scheduling area clean and organized.
• Document insurance verification and patient calls in the patient account; communicate payment policies and options.
