Griffin Hospital seeks a full-time surgical scheduler for a busy Cardiac EP office, coordinating with Griffin Hospital’s OR and Interventional Radiology Suite, ensuring pre-admission testing and medical clearance are complete.

The role requires 3+ years in a medical office, surgical booking, medical billing, and EHR experience, with strong customer service and multitasking abilities to keep the schedule efficient and accurate.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years administrative experience in a medical office.
• Experience with surgical booking and medical billing required.
• Working knowledge of medical terminology.
• Experience working with electronic health records required.
• Strong customer service and multi-tasking skills.

Responsabilités

• Answer telephone calls promptly and professionally.
• Greet patients and visitors to the office.
• Coordinate surgical appointments with OR and Interventional Radiology.
• Prepare OR booking forms as directed by the Surgeon.
• Coordinate pre-admission testing with medical clearance.
• Organize surgical assists and cross-specialty physician collaborations.
• Coordinate surgical patient medical clearance with PCP as required.
• Schedule pre-operative and post-operative patient appointments.
• Obtain prior authorizations from insurers as needed.
• Manage provider’s office schedule during procedures.
• Provide clerical support and assist the practice manager.
• Additional responsibilities as assigned.
