Job summary

Penrose Cardiology Clinic is seeking a Perioperative Scheduler to coordinate surgical and anesthesia procedures according to guidelines and available resources. You will update patient information, print schedules, and maintain relevant data while performing data entry and retrieval.

Daily responsibilities include facilitating communication between patients, providers, and the surgical team, ensuring a positive patient experience through detail-oriented scheduling and reliable service.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of medical terminology required.
• Three (3) years of experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
• Bachelor’s or advanced credentials not required but beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate surgical and anesthesia schedules per guidelines.
• Obtain and update patient and procedural information for scheduling.
• Print and distribute schedules and maintain relevant data.
• Communicate with patients, providers, and surgical teams to ensure smooth operations.
• Handle scheduling changes, add-ons, delays, and emergencies effectively.
• Ensure timely surgical care alignment with CMG mission and values.
