Job summary

Spire Orthopedic Partners is seeking a Surgical Coordinator to manage patient surgery scheduling with hospitals or surgical centers, verify insurance and referrals, and coordinate pre-op testing and post-op visits. You will ensure HIPAA compliance, maintain accurate EMR entries, and support schedulers with timely communication and issue resolution.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 1 year medical office experience preferred.
• Familiarity with HIPAA, insurance regulations and policies.
• Strong communication and professional etiquette in a medical setting.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate physician-scheduled surgeries with hospitals or surgical centers.
• Verify patient insurance and referrals are on file and valid.
• Arrange pre-op testing and inform patients of scheduling steps.
• Enter patient communications into the EMR system per policy.
• Handle scheduling changes, cancellations, and reschedules.
