Job summary

CAO, one of the nation’s largest orthopaedics practices, is seeking a Surgical Coordinator to manage scheduling of surgical operations, coordinate patient intake, verify insurance, and assist with billing preparation. The role requires excellent customer service with patients, staff, and physicians, plus documentation in EMR systems.

Responsibilities

• Answer all incoming calls for the surgery department and direct inquiries appropriately.
• Guide patients through intake forms and verify insurance information.
• Schedule surgical procedures, prepare rooms and equipment, and manage inventory.
• Coordinate pre/post-op visits and post-surgery follow-up communications.
• Maintain patient records and ensure compliance with privacy and hospital policies.
