Job summary

UCHealth Highlands Ranch is seeking a Cardiovascular Scheduling Coordinator to manage inpatient and outpatient appointment scheduling in a fast-paced setting.

This onsite role requires coordinating with physicians, staff and facilities to ensure availability and accurate pre-procedure instructions, while performing insurance verification as needed. Strong organizational skills and patient-focused service are essential.

Qualifications

• Education: High School diploma or GED.
• Minimum Experience: None required.

Responsibilities

• Schedules inpatient and outpatient cardiovascular appointment times using computerized scheduling programs.
• Coordinates with physicians and other healthcare team members to ensure availability of facilities, cardiologist, staff and equipment.
• Communicates with patients and/or their families to provide necessary pre-procedure instructions and to confirm appointments.
• Performs insurance verification and/or pre-authorizations as necessary.
• Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.
