Job summary

UCHealth University of Colorado Health in Aurora, CO seeks a Scheduling Coordinator for the Female Pelvic Medicine department. This onsite role coordinates all aspects of surgery scheduling, partnering with physicians, facilities, and staff to ensure timely procedures.

You will communicate with patients to provide pre-procedure instructions, perform basic insurance verifications when needed, and thrive in a fast-paced environment under minimal supervision. This is a full-time, dayshift position.

Qualifications

• Experience coordinating inpatient and outpatient scheduling.
• Uses computerized scheduling programs to manage appointment times.
• Must communicate pre-procedure instructions and coordinate with patients.

Responsibilities

• Schedules inpatient and outpatient surgical appointment times using computerized scheduling programs.
• Coordinates with physicians and other healthcare team members to ensure availability of facilities, surgeon, staff and equipment.
• Communicates with patients and/or their families to provide necessary pre-procedure instructions and to confirm appointments.
• Performs insurance verification and/or pre-authorizations as necessary.
