Qualifications

• 2 years working in an ambulatory healthcare environment.
• 2 years customer service experience.
• 2 years working with third party payors (insurance carriers).

Responsibilities

• Coordinate scheduling of pre-operative appointments including tests.
• Attend and participate in Referral/Surgical Coordinator training sessions.
• Instruct patients on administrative, financial and preoperative processes.
• Verify insurance coverage and obtain authorizations as required.
• Provide excellent customer service to patients, families and staff.
• Utilize EPIC and external scheduling processes.
• Prepare reports and educate staff on new processes.
