Job summary

Aurora Medical Group (AMG) is seeking a Surgical Scheduler to support providers, patients, and ambulatory care teams. This full-time role focuses on coordinating surgical procedures, managing OR time, and ensuring accurate patient billing within a fast-paced health system.

The position requires a High School Diploma and about 1 year of health-care customer service experience, with preference for prior surgery scheduling and WorkQue usage. Competitive benefits and a 40-hour week are offered.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma is required.
• Typically 1 year of experience in a health care setting performing customer service functions including scheduling, registration, insurance authorization and/or patient billing.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate scheduling of surgical procedures between physicians, offices, OR time, anesthesia, and other departments.
• Schedule next-day and future procedures; maintain and distribute OR schedules; notify providers of changes.
• Obtain necessary lab work, x-rays, H&P as applicable.
• Process patient charges and ensure charges are entered for every patient; run reports and verify codes.
