Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED or Equivalent.
• Two years of experience in a physician's office or similar environment; Spanish/English medical interpreting preferred.
• Experience with third-party payers and ICD-10/HCPCS coding preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage surgical scheduling with accurate patient demographics and procedure bookings.
• Obtain insurance authorizations, referrals, and approvals for surgeries and pre-operative care.
• Collaborate with surgeons, OR staff, and primary care providers to ensure efficient patient care.
• Prepare and maintain surgical documentation including forms and pre-operative records.
• Educate patients on procedures, testing requirements, and follow-up care.
• Schedule diagnostic testing, lab work, and post-operative appointments.
• Provide check-in/check-out support and registration assistance as needed.
• Enter outpatient orders and manage electronic scheduling systems.
• Deliver excellent customer service by handling calls, inquiries, and messages.
• Support daily office operations and training, communicating needs to supervisors.
