Job summary

Qualifications

• Two years of medical registration, billing, scheduling, or insurance experience.
• Two years of customer service experience.
• Working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets, email, and calendaring programs.
• Associate's Degree preferred; education verified.

Responsibilities

• Creates and manages provider’s surgery/hospital procedure schedules.
• Maintains changes, cancellations, rescheduling and follow up on these schedules.
• Obtains authorization for surgeries/hospital procedures and verifies eligibility.
• Coordinates referrals for out-of-network care and CPT codes for authorization.
• Pre-surgical FIN and scheduling card creation coordination with hospital scheduler.
• Explain pre-op processes to patients and coordinate pre-op tests and labs.
