Responsibilities

• Maintains surgery schedule and provides information to patients and physicians.
• Coordinates, registers and schedules appointments for patients.
• Conducts patient pre-certification on proper insurance approval.
• Ensures pre-operative tests are scheduled and completed.
• Coordinates equipment, room availability and pre-surgery preparations.
• Explains surgery instructions to patients and answers questions.
• Schedules follow-up appointments as directed by physicians.
• Greets patients and manages phone communications and EMR documentation.
• Registers patients and updates demographic data in registration system.
