Responsibilities include patient registration, appointment guidance, pre-visit prep, and collaboration with providers, schedulers, and financial counselors.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree preferred.
• Minimum 1–2 years in medical scheduling, registration, or referral coordination preferred.
• Knowledge of insurance processes, including verification and authorization requirements.
• Proficiency with EMR systems, patient portals, and office communication tools.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Clear and professional verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Handle patient access and communications, route clinical inquiries, and provide appointment instructions.
• Verify eligibility and benefits, assess referrals, and coordinate with insurance carriers.
• Schedule procedures and related appointments; track orders and ensure pre-op documentation.
• Enter orders, monitor results, and communicate delays to staff; provide coverage as needed.
• Process faxes, maintain logs, and support department workflow and performance.
