Job summary

UNLV Health is seeking a Surgical Scheduler to manage the scheduling of surgeries for assigned physicians. The role includes coordinating procedures with hospitals and centers, arranging pre-op testing, and handling surgery orders and documentation.

The position supports providers with non-licensed medical and scheduling tasks. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States, and sponsorship is not provided.

Qualifications

• 1+ years surgery scheduling or related experience.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with physicians, patients and the public and build good working relationships.
• Strong knowledge of clinical/medical practice operations, procedures, medical terminology and administrative procedures.

Responsibilities

• Schedule surgeries for assigned physician(s) and coordinate with hospitals and surgery centers.
• Obtain pre-operative testing, write and communicate surgery orders, and collect documentation.
• Provide non-licensed medical and scheduling support to medical providers.
