Job summary

Qualifications

• Must read, write and speak conversational English
• 3+ years in a healthcare setting
• 1+ year of technical experience (preferred)
• 1+ Electronic Health Record (EHR) scheduling experience (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Schedules patients for surgery and completes facility paperwork.
• Obtains scheduling, demographic, insurance, and clinical information to schedule, cancel, or reschedule events.
• Coordinates with physicians and staff using the facility’s designated method.
• Prepares the advanced surgical schedule and reviews tentative schedules with leaders and admissions.
• Maintains hospital schedules through calls and faxes and assists with staff orientation.
