Job summary

Englewood Health's Englewood Hospital is looking for a Scheduling Coordinator to manage daily surgical procedures for Bariatric and General Surgery. You will maintain the surgeon's schedule, coordinate patient care with multiple providers and departments, and handle clerical/medical assistant tasks.

Responsibilities include scheduling consults and follow ups, verifying insurance information, and serving as a liaison across offices.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or equivalent required and/or medical office and insurance experience maybe substituted.
• Two (2) years' experience in a medical office environment.
• Knowledge of medical abbreviations and terminology preferred.
• Knowledge of computer systems and applications.

Responsibilities

• Coordination of daily surgical procedures and in office procedures; maintaining the physician's surgical agenda.
• Coordinate patient's care with multiple providers and other departments; scheduler and insurance pre-certifier.
• Generate and process paperwork for scheduling consults and patient follow-up appointments pre and post-surgery.
