Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking an OR Scheduling Clerk to support the surgical scheduling process across Beverly Hospital OR, Lahey Outpatient Center Danvers, and Addison Gilbert Hospital. You will coordinate patient surgeries with surgeon offices, anesthesia, and OR teams, and enter details into the OR scheduling system.

The role focuses on ensuring timely, accurate scheduling, coordinating pre-op appointments, and communicating changes to all involved departments to optimize OR utilization.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates patient procedures with the anesthesiologist to ensure room and anesthesia availability.
• Schedules OR, OB and CV suite procedures in the OR scheduling system.
• Prepares admission/registration forms and related clerical tasks for surgical cases.
• Notifies anesthesia and OR teams of schedule changes and additions.
• Coordinates cross-department logistics (Radiology, Pathology, etc.).
• Promotes communication with physician offices and care teams about scheduling fits.
