Job summary

Renown-Health in Reno, NV seeks a Supervisor of Surgical Scheduling Operations to lead physician scheduling, train coordinators, and ensure accurate OR utilization across specialties.

You will manage block time, provider templates, scheduling workflows, and collaborate with Surgical Services to support department growth, patient access, and efficient operations. This role requires leadership, process improvement, and hands-on scheduling expertise.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's preferred.
• Experience: At least 2 years in scheduling or related healthcare access operations; 2 years in a specialty setting preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology required.
• Experience with surgical scheduling, OR utilization, provider templates, block time, and related operations preferred.
• Previous supervisory/lead/training/workflow development experience preferred.
• Healthcare billing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise physician scheduling coordinators and provide scheduling support as needed.
• Monitor OR utilization, block time, released lines, and scheduling workflows for accuracy.
• Develop training resources and standard work to improve consistency and productivity.
• Collaborate with Surgical Services and providers to address scheduling barriers and grow services.
