Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Medical Terminology Certificate required, or able to demonstrate knowledge of medical terminology and hospital procedures.
• Knowledge of computer software including Outlook, Word, SmartSheets and current EMR in use.
• Hospital or clinical office electronic scheduling experience preferred.
• Experience with electronic charge capture and vendor relationships preferred.
• Experience with EMR InBasket messaging, block scheduling, and billing to include shell codes and applications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Schedule patient cases for surgery, endoscopy, recovery, and anesthesia in the EMR.
• Verify patient charges in the EMR system.
• Demonstrate working knowledge of medical terminology and hospital procedures.
