Job summary

PeaceHealth is seeking a Surgery Scheduler for the Endoscopy Outpatient Lab in a Part Time, 0.50 FTE, Day position. The role involves coordinating surgery scheduling across hospital and ambulatory sites, and communicating with physician offices to ensure timely and accurate scheduling data.

Requirements include a high school diploma (or equivalent), medical terminology coursework, and 3+ years in healthcare scheduling/secretarial roles.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma Preferred: or equivalent
• College Coursework Required: Medical Terminology or equivalent
• Minimum of 3 years Required: Related experience in a healthcare setting or three years progressive secretarial experience in healthcare
• Preferred: Previous experience in a surgical ambulatory care or acute care setting and/or a scheduling position and
• Preferred: Experience in CareCast/Flow Cast

Responsibilities

• Completes the scheduling process by coordinating surgery department (hospital or ambulatory surgery center) and physician offices’ needs.
• Schedules surgery visits as required.
• Arranges cases to assure maximum effectiveness of schedule.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
