OrthoNY, LLP. is seeking a Surgical Scheduler to support our orthopedic surgeon in Schenectady, NY. The role coordinates surgeries, books pre- and post-op appointments, and serves as the main liaison between patients and providers.

This full-time clerical position requires strong organization, attention to detail and impeccable communication to ensure smooth patient care and timely documentation.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 3 years of experience in an office setting, medical setting preferred.
• Surgical scheduling experience and/or LPN license and experience a plus.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office required; experience with an EMR a plus.
• Exceptional written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
• Valid driver’s license and vehicle for needed travel depending on staffing and needs.

Aufgaben

• Schedule surgery including booking, pre/post-op appointments and follow up on clearance and documentation in patient records.
• Complete paperwork (e.g., disability, workers’ comp, PT referrals and prior authorizations) as needed.
• Receive/mail/fax/scan PT, surgical documents and all correspondence from referring physicians as needed.
• Handle all appointment rescheduling for providers as needed.
• Coordinate providers’ schedule for meetings, cases, appointments and communicate with providers.
• Obtain patient information including medical necessity, medical records, transportation authorization, home care orders and referrals.
• Communicate with case managers regarding care as needed.
• Other responsibilities as needed/assigned.
