Job summary

New York Health (NYH) is seeking a Coordinator, Surgical to join our East Setauket, NY team. You will organize and schedule office and hospital procedures in collaboration with physicians and the scheduling team.

This role requires strong communication, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or in a team. Bilingual Spanish/English is a plus, and healthcare scheduling experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• 1–3 years in healthcare scheduling or equivalent.
• Medical Assistant certification is a plus.
• Bilingual Spanish/English is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Schedule office and/or hospital procedures per physician recommendation.
• Provide excellent customer service with patients, families, and healthcare team.
• Respond to scheduling changes/cancellations promptly and accurately.
• Obtain and monitor authorizations for procedures; coordinate with departments.
• Work with EMR and maintain patient flow and clearances; liaise with facilities.
