Job summary

Advanced Pain Care is seeking a Surgery Scheduler to float between our Waco and Groesbeck clinic locations. You will manage the scheduling of surgeries, in-office procedures, and pre/post-op coordination.

The role requires strong communication, attention to detail, and the ability to work with physicians and patients to ensure timely medical clearances and accurate records in the EMR.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma; healthcare scheduling experience preferred.
• Knowledge of EMR systems, medical terminology, and insurance verification.

Responsibilities

• Schedule surgeries and complete related paperwork.
• Confirm demographics, surgery date/time and medical diagnosis.
• Review pre-op instructions with patients (medications, allergies, labs, health history).
• Gather insurance information and verify coverage and benefits.
• Ensure all forms are completed and filed for surgeries (consents, etc.).
• Coordinate follow-up appointments and health assessments; liaise with physicians.
