Job summary

Texas ENT Specialists is seeking a Surgery Scheduler to coordinate all aspects of surgical procedures for our patients. You will work closely with physicians, medical staff, insurance companies, and patients to schedule surgeries, obtain financial clearance, and communicate clearly to ensure a smooth process.

Applicants should have experience in healthcare scheduling and familiarity with medical software such as eClinicalWorks, Word, and Excel.

Qualifications

• Three years of experience in healthcare, insurance, or related field preferred.
• Experience with computer-based software including eClinicalWorks, Word, and Excel.
• Ability to verify patient benefits and coordinate scheduling.
• Strong communication and patient-facing counseling.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and document verification of patient benefits and network status.
• Provide financial counseling including cost estimates and payment terms.
• Coordinate surgical procedures with physicians, clinic staff, and facilities.
• Ensure pre-authorizations and references are documented.
• Document all communications accurately.
• Assist in scheduling surgeries and pre-operative assessments.
