The role involves direct patient interaction, pre-op coordination, and ensuring all paperwork, referrals, and authorizations are completed accurately and on time. This position is full-time and located in Miami, FL, within a leading academic medical center.

Qualifications

• Must have effective communication skills, both written and oral.
• Attention to detail in completing assignments accurately.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and standard computer software.
• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Schedules surgical appointments and monitors cancellations to keep the daily schedule accurate.
• Completes paperwork prior to pre-op appointments and obtains referrals and authorizations.
• Follows up to ensure pre-op results are available before procedures.
• Informs patients about visit activities and provides facility pamphlets.
• Advises patients of financial responsibilities before the procedure date.
• Adheres to University policies and safeguards University assets.
• Duties may be expanded as needed.
