Qualifications

• Requires collaboration and strong customer service with internal and external customers.
• Minimum 6 months scheduling/patient intake experience in healthcare.
• Ability to read, write and speak English.
• Strong basic computer skills.
• Courteous and professional communication with internal and external customers.
• Strong clerical and organizational skills for record keeping and scheduling.
• Knowledge of Medical Terminology.
• BLS (AHA) certification preferred.
• See Amendment A for specific requirements pertaining to Schedulers in the Radiation Therapy/Chemotherapy/Cyberknife Departments.

Responsibilities

• The Scheduler routinely schedules and coordinates patient appointments with provider.
• Manages flow of information to physicians, nursing staff, therapists, clerical staff, etc.
• Prioritizes workload to facilitate efficient flow of information messages.
• Works with coworkers, other departments and outside companies to ensure quality patient care.
